BNP leader Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker on Thursday was released from jail on bail granted by the High Court (HC) in one case filed by the police in 2015.
Barrister Marium Khandaker, daughter of the BNP leader, confirmed the news of his father’s release.
She said that police filed two cases against her father in 2015 on charge of

She said that police filed two cases against her father in 2015 on charge of
unleashing sabotage. On January 23 in 2018, police arrested her father as arrest warrant was issued in the two cases.
A trial court of Narayanganj granted him bail in one case and on Thursday HC Bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar granted bail to Advocate Taimur in another case, she added.
