The Shamsuzzaman Limited Table Tennis Federation Cup kicks-off today at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium. Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation will arrange the table tennis meet with the financial assistance of Shamsuzzaman Limited.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Khondker Hasan Munir disclosed all the matters related to the table tennis competition at a press conference held at the conference room of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium. Vice-President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Shmsul Alam, Vice-President of the Federation Helena Morshed, Treasurer of the Federation Tajuddin Pappu and Media Secretary Ahsan Ahmed present at the conference.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk 3,57,600 and Shamsuzzaman Limited has given all the money to Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation to run the meet smoothly.
A total of 14 teams will take part in the table tennis meet. The participants of the competition are around hundred including female athletes.
The champions, the runners-up, the third-place achiever and the fourth-place earner of the team event will be awarded trophy and medal respectively.

Today Deputy Managing Director of Palli Karma Sangsthan Fund Md Fazlul Kader will formally open the meet as the chief guest while Chairman of Shamsuzzaman Limited Md Shamsuzzaman Awal.
President of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Md Abdul Karim will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
