BNP-blessed mayoral candidate for Dhaka North city Corporation (DNCC) Tabith Awal filed four separate complaints, including one over the attack on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on her electioneering in city’s Karwan Bazar to the Election Commission on Tuesday.
Tabith Awal submitted the complaints to the EC via fax, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC)’s personal secretary Mazharul Islam.
In the compliant, Tabith
claimed that his rival candidate ruling party-backed Annisul Huq’s people damaged his loudspeaker during campaign and tore down his campaign posters.
Alleging that police are harassing his supporters, he further claimed that police picked up one of his supporters from an election campaign in Ward No-11 of Mirpur area.
