T20I series between Bangladesh- Lanka not to be held

The three-match Twenty20 International series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will not be held.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Akram Khan said to a local website on Thursday, ” We showed interest to play three-match Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. We gave priority to play three-match Test series against Sri Lanka. But Sri Lanka Cricket gave us proposal to play three-match T20I series after reducing one Test match. So, we decided to play three-match Test series against Sri Lanka from October 24.”
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Cricket team will leave the city for Sri Lanka on September 23 to play three-match Test series against Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh Cricket team will start their full-fledged practice sessions from mid of the September.
It was ‘talk of the town’ that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play three-match Test series and three-match Twenty20 International series. The BCB and Sri Lanka Cricket were discussing about the Test series and T20I series. But at last it is finalised that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play three-match Test series.
Akram Khan informed that Bangladesh would play three-match Test series against Sri Lanka. There is no second option and Bangladesh will compete three-match Test series against Sri Lanka.
