Private satellite sports channel and Nagorik TV will telecast the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-West Indies series live. The two television channels will telecast three-match One Day International (ODI) series and two-match Test series live. Besides, the two television channels will telecast sports programmes during the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-Windies series.
In this regard, a press conference was held at the Grand Ballroom in The Westin Dhaka Hotel, Gulshan on Monday. Chairman of the Media and Communications Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Md Jalal Yunus, Director of BAN-Tech Limited Amjad Hossain Arjo, Executive Director of T Sports Nurul Islam Khan and Director of Nagorik TV Navidul Huq were present at the conference.
It may be mentioned that BAN-TECH Limited has already bought broadcasting rights of Bangabandhu Bangladesh-West Indies series. BAN-TECH signed an agreement with T Sports and Nagorik TV.
Jalal Yunus said, ” It is a challenging matter to stage the cricket series, to cover the cricket series during the coronavirus pandemic.”
This time all the matches of Bangabandhu Bangladesh-West Indies series will be telecast not only Bangladesh but also Middle East, India, Asia, West Indies, United States of America and Canada.
Bangladesh will take on West Indies in the first ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) on January 20, face the tourists in the second ODI at the same venue on January 22 and meet the visitors in the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chattogram on January 25.
