UNB, Dhaka :Sylhet Division clinched the title of the Plan Under-15 Girls Football Tournament beating Chittagong Division by 2-0 goals in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here Friday afternoon.Maria Manda put Sylhet Division ahead in the 11th minute while Lipi Akhter confirmed the victory adding one more goal in the 58th minute.BFF President Kazi M Salahuddin, who is also the president of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), was the chief guest in the final. Country Director of the meet’s sponsor Plan International Bangladesh Senait Gebregziabher and Ayako Kurihara, Social Innovation Team, Department of UNIQLO, were present as special guests.Champion Sylhet Division Team received prize money of Tk 50,000 in addition to the gold medal while runners up Chittagong Division Team got prize money of Tk 25,000 in addition to the silver medal.Lipi Akter, a player of Narsingdi under Sylhet Divisional zone, was named the highest scorer while Chatuima Marma, a player of Rangamati under Chittagong Divisional zone, was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament.Faridpur DFA has been named as the best preliminary venue while Rajshahi DFA as the best final round venue.Coach Golam Rabbani Chhoton of Rajshahi Venue won the gold medal, Masud Parvez Kaiser of Rangamati Venue won the silver medal while Mahabubur Rahman Litu of Sylhet Venue and Mostafa Anwar Parvez Babu of Kustuia Venue got the bronze medals for their outstanding performances.
