State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid now in Stockholm sought Sweden’s cooperation for development of Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector.
Nasrul sought the assistance as he paid a courtesy call on Swedish Minister for Policy Coordination and Energy Ibrahim Baylan at the latter’s office in Stockholm, according to a press release here on Saturday.
“Bangladesh’s power and energy is a prospective sector for investment from the Nordic countries,” he told the Swedish minister. He added that Bangladesh wants to use Sweden’s experience in the renewable energy sector, especially in solar system.
During the meeting, Narayanganj city mayor Dr Selena Hayat Ivy, Power Cell Director General Engineer Mohammad Hossain, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.
