Swedish Ambassador in Dhaka Johan Frisell paid a courtesy call with Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at his ministry office here on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed further strengthening of cooperation among Bangladesh and European Union (EU) countries including Sweden for the development of education.
Nahid told the ambassador that development partners of Bangladesh including Sweden is playing important role to the socio-economic development of the country.
The Swedish envoy praised Bangladesh’s development in education especially in women education.
He assured of continuing his country’s cooperation to keep the consistency of achieved success in the field of education.
Joint Secretary of Education Ministry Aminul Islam Khan was present on the occasion.
