Popular film actress Shabnam Bubly will act as
the lead heroine in director Saif Chandan’s new movie Koyla. She signed up for the movie recently. Bubly will be seen portraying a village girl in the movie but the hero of the film will confirm later. Abdullah Zahir Babu wrote story and dialogue of Koyla while director Chandan has written its screenplay. The film will be produced under the banner of Simplex International Production.
Director Saif Chandan said, “Koyla is the story of a village located in a less inhabited bordering area of Bangladesh. We are in discussion with a few actors to play the male lead role. It will be announced soon. But I do not reveal details about the plot of the upcoming movie right now.”
He informed that they will go for shooting of the movie in Jashore from next week. Chandan announced to make Koyla two years ago, which was later delayed in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
As Koyla marks Bubly’s first work with Saif Chandan, the director said, “Bubly is doing well. She is a popular heroine in the industry who has several commercially successful films co-starring Shakib Khan. I think she will match for the role in Koyla and that’s why I offered her. She also liked the story. Later, we came to consent and signed her in Koyla. The movie will mostly be shot in a bordering area near Benapole.”
