Another businessman has been accused of hacking and injuring Swechchhasebak League leader Zahid Hasan Shanta, 35, on account of a dispute over cable network (dish) business in Mymensingh’s Gafargaon. He was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College with serious injuries.
The incident took place at Mahir Kharua village of Gafargaon union around 10:15 pm on Friday.
The injured were identified as Zahid Hasan, a resident of Mahir Kharua Village in Shant upazila. He is the president of Ward 5 of Gafargaon Union, Swechchhasebak League. The family has filed a case with the Gafargaon Police Station over the incident.
According to local and police complaint sources added , Swachhasebak League leader Zahid Hasan Shant had been running a network (dish) business for a long time. This cable network (dish) business was trying to occupy a mahal. When he went to Mohirkharua market On Friday night, due to a business dispute, he killed Kaiser (35), son of Shamsuddin of the same area. He was rescued by his relatives and taken to the Upazila Health Complex.
When the situation deteriorated, he was shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
On the night of the incident, Shantar’s family filed a case with Gafargaon police station.
Gafargaon Police Station OC Mohammad Farooq Ahmed said a case has been registered in this regard.
