As part of the government’s firm stance to prevent coronavirus transmission, Awami Swechchhasebak League on Friday distributed free facemasks among the common people in the city’s different areas.
“We always stand by the general people and want to work for them,” General Secretary of Awami Swechchhasebak League Afzalur Rahman Babu said while handing over masks to a rickshaw puller at Russel Square.
He said leaders and workers of the Swechchhasebak League always stand by the common people of the country and provide cooperation.
“We are serving the people upholding the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” Babu added.
The Swechchhasebak League leaders distributed masks among dwellers at Panthapath intersection along with other areas.
Vice-President of Awami Swechchhasebak League Kazi Moazzem Hossain, organizing secretaries Nafiul Karim Nafa, Abdullah Al Sayem and AFM Mahbubul Hasan Mahbub and Science and Technology Secretary Engineer Kobad Hossain also attend the ceremony.
