Swapnil Shojib to represent country in Australia

Promising Tagore artiste Swapnil Shojib will represent Bangladesh to Australia by music. He will fly to Australia tonight. He will perform in a special programme titled Banglar Gaan at Science Theatre in Sydney, Australia on July 29 evening. He will render Bangladeshi songs there. Therefore, Shojib will also present Tagore songs on the occasion.
While talking in this regard Swapnil told this correspondent, “I am really delighted to go to Australia for the first time and will also represent my country there. Everybody pray for me as I can successfully perform there.”
Shojib also informed that on July 30 he will also perform in another show in Melbourne. Recently he has returned from Canada after passing 40 days there. He performed in 12 shows in five cities in Canada.
It is mentioned that Swapnil Shojib got gold medals in folk song category in the National Children Competition in 1997 and 1999. He has three Tagore songs based albums in the markets. His last album was released from Kolkata. His folk songs based an album is in the offing now.
Shojib informed that he will return to Bangladesh on August 2. In 1998, he for the first time performed outside the country in India.
