Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth Tk 100 crore with Sonali Bank. Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
The memorandum of understanding between the university and Sonali Bank was signed at noon on Sunday of the university’s vice-chancellor’s conference room.
Under the agreement, the bank will provide personal loans of Tk 100 crore on a wholesale basis to university teachers, officials and employees through the banking system.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said, this agreement is a milestone for our university. This home loan was a long standing demand of teachers, officers and employees. After a long effort we have been able to make this deal.
