Former national all rounder Golam Farooq Suru who is now a bowling coach of BCB academy said to BSS on Saturday that he was very optimistic that Bangladesh bowling sensation pacer Mustafizur Rahman will recover fully from his injury within six month.
These types of injuries are common among pace bowlers. There is nothing to alarm as he will have to undergo some recovery programme under BCB management and should start bowling in the nets within next 20 weeks.
Star pace bowler Mustafiz had an operation at the BUPA Cromwell Hospital in London where he underwent shoulder surgery on Thursday last.
He was supposed to be released on Friday, but his surgeon Andrew Wallace advised him to spend an extra as Bangladesh pace prodigy Mustafiz complained of having some pain.
“There was a little bit of pain and he was a little uncomfortable, so we decided to let him spend another day in the hospital,”
BCB director Jalal Yunus told local newspapers yesterday. “The doctor will have a check on him again after a week”. In the meantime he will also discuss the rehab procedure with our sports physician Debashish Chowdhury.
Suru told BSS that the ace bowler has already started a series of ROM (range of motion) exercises which lessen his pain in the future.
