Sunnydale U-16, U-18 handball teams off to Sweden today

A 29-member comprising under-16 and under-18 boys teams of Sunnydale School will leave for Sweden today to take part in the Partille Cup Age Group Handball competition scheduled to be held on July 3-8 in Gothenburg, the second-largest city of Sweden.
A total of 890 teams from 42 countries will take part in this year’s Partille Cup, the largest and most international youth handball tournament in the world.
Earlier, prior to the departure the players and officials of the two teams had a courtesy meeting with the officials of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium on Friday last.
BHF president AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul, BHF vice president Ahasan Ullah Khan Rana, BHF general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, BHF assistant general secretary SM Khalekuzzaman Swapan, and M Salahuddin, BHF treasurer Jahangir Hossain and BHF advisor RAJUK chairman Abdur Rahman were present on the occasion.
Under-16 team – Siddhartha Sohrab, Rakin Ridwan, Kazi Farhan Rahman, Taaseen, Khan, Nahyan, Ibne Safi, Irfan Zayed Ali, Shuhail Kabir, Abrar Faisal Hossain, Mansiv Hamid Shangram, Adib Akhtab, Ifaz Ahmed and Shabab Sarwar.
Under -18 team- Zuhayr Sami Lakskar, Fayaz Zuhayr Ali, Sadman Shahriar, Raian Rith, Wasif Ahmed, Sharif Sakif Hassan, Shafwan Shamsher, Raihan Jafir Bari, Sharik Anbar and Sharar Sarwar.
