On the Valentine’s Day on 14th February, Sundarban Day was observed in a befitting manner in Bagerhat district town on Saturday as else where of the adjacent districts of Sundarbans .
On the occasion, a colourful rally was brought out from Bagerhat Press Club premises under the auspices of the Club and it paraded on the main roads of the district town carrying the banner-‘Love Sundarbans: Save Sundarbans.’
The rally was led by Md. Shah Alam Sardar, ADC (Edn), Bagerhat and Amir Hossain Chowdhury, DFO , of the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest.
It was attended by journalists lawyers, teachers,students and elites of the district town.
The rally was followed by a lively discussion meeting on Sundarban forest held in Bagerhat Press Club auditorium with its President Adv. Shah Alam Tuku in the chair.
