An eight day long ‘Sultan Mela’ marking renowned artist SM Sultan’s birth anniversary begins today on Tuesday at Sultan Manch premises in Narail. Assaduzzaman Nur, minister for Cultural ministry will inaugurate the mela today at 3 pm.
The eight day long fair organized by SM Sultan Foundation includes Art competition, Art exhibition, Seminar to be participated by renowned artists and art critics of the country everyday, Cultural function at every night, Voliball, Kusti, Mohila Ha-du-du, Lathi Khela, Daria Bandha, Bouchi, Danguli, Bull and Cock Fighting and Horse Race. Cultural ministry sponsor the fair.
Sultan Manch premises and Shishuswarga of Masimdia village wore a festive look to welcome eight day long fair which has turned with the passage of time a ‘Loko Mela’. The fair will conclude on March 4.
SM Sultan is a internationally famous painter. During his lifetime his paintings were exhibited at home and abroad.
