Mustafizur takes top spot in Google Search in 2015
‘Wonder Boy’ Mustafizur Rahman captured top spot in the Google Search of the year 2015.
New sensation left-arm medium pacer Mustafizur Rahman took 26 wickets in nine ODI matches. He is the first bowler in the world, who captured five wickets in both the Test and ODI debuts.
Mustafiz named in world ODI squad
Bangladesh bowling wonder Mustafizur Rahman has been named in the ICC’s ODI team of the year, thanks to his 18 wickets in six matches between September 2014 and September 2015.
Mustafizur became the first Bangladeshi cricketer who has been chosen in the ICC’s ODI team of the year.
The ICC announced the ICC’s ODI team of the year. AB de Villiers will lead the ODI squad.
The cricket authorities named the squad based on performances of the cricketers between September 2014 and September 2015.
A selection panel, headed by the International Cricket Council’s cricket committee chairman Anil Kumble, chose the team.
The Bangladeshi pacer claimed a total of 26 wickets from 9 matches in his career till December 2, 2015. Muztafiz picked his the career best six ODI wickets in both in an innings and in a match while four wickets in two Test matches.

Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket team qualified for the ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup Cricket Tournament scheduled to be held in India in 2016. Bangladesh Women team became runners-up in the qualifying round held in December.
Success in Football
Bangladesh National Football team became runners-up in the Bangabandhu International Gold Cup Football Tournament. Bangladesh lost to Malaysia Under-23 Football team by 2-3 goals in the final on February 8.
Chittagong Abahani Limited clinched the title of the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football Tournament. Chittagong Abahani Limited defeated Calcutta East Bengal Club by 3-1 goals in the final on October 30.
Bangladesh Under-16 Football team became champions in the SAFF Under-16 Championship. Bangladesh Under-16 team beat Indian Under-16 team by 4-2 goals in the tie-breaker after the stipulated time of the match ended in a 1-1 draw on August 18.
Bangladesh Under-14 Girls’ Football team clinched the AFC Girls’ Under-14 Regional Football title beating host Nepal Under-14 Girls’ Football team by a solitary goal in the final in Nepal on December 20.
