Suborna, Joya are my inspiration: Sanjida Tonni

With the inspiration of her mother promising actress Sajida Tonni attached herself with media through a contest of the country’s one of the top platforms. In Lux-Channel i Superstar 2014, she was on top 8. Later, she has to pass challenging times. In the small screen, she passed times with hosting and acting. In the beginning of her career, she acted in Dipankar Dipon’s serial Loveguru Potcom. Later he acted under several noted director’s direction including Gias Uddin Selim.
Tonni acted a serial titled Khandani Poribar, directed by Solaiman Joy, has already finished telecasting on Asian TV. In last Eid, Tonni acted in several plays like Shahnewaj Ripon’s Chander Chanda, Akash Ranjan’s Uchit Kotha, Anwar Hossain’s Eta Amader Golpo, etc. She has won hearts of many viewers by virtue of her acting. As a newcomer, she has attracted attention of the viewers. Last week she started shooting of Iftekhar Ifti’s new serial Piritpur. Therefore, Tonni acted two serials – Rosher Hari and Sondeho Virus are being aired on Boishakhi TV and Deepto TV respectively now.
While asking her about having any interest to work in big screen Tonni replied, “Suborna Mustafa Madam and Joya Ahsan Apu are my inspirations in acting. During childhood I have been enjoying their acting. I had dreamt to become an actress following their acting. As a part of its continuation, I took part in the Lux contest. But right now I have no plan to work in movie because I want to establish myself in the small screen now. I am grateful to all who co-operated me to come into my present position.”
Born on January 29 Tonni is daughter of Md Abul Hossain and Kamrunnahar, both of them are government officials. Tonni’s elder sister Tania is also government official and younger sister Tuba is now studying. After completing LLB from Primeasia University, Tonni recently finished LLM from Jagannath University. She is now hosting Banglabid contest on Channel i.
