A Dhaka court yesterday fixed February 23 for submitting the probe report in a case filed for raping a female student of Dhaka University.
Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sayed of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order as the Investigation Officer of the case failed to submit the probe report on Tuesday.The victim’s father filed the case with the Cantonment Police Station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on January 6.
A female student of Dhaka University (DU) was raped and tortured in Kurmitola area of the city on January 5 night. The incident happened when she was going on foot from Kurmitola bus stop to one of her friends’ house.
On information, her friend and classmates took her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
