A Dhaka court yesterday set February 2 of next year to submit the probe report in the case filed over the murder of Islamic scholar and TV personality Maulana Nurul Islam Faruki.
Magistrate Devbrata Biswas of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka set the new date as the investigation agency CID could not submit the report on Thursday.
Faruki was brutally killed at his 174 East Razabazar residence in the capital on August 27, 2014.
His son Foysal Faruki lodged the case against eight to ten unidentified miscreants with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station after the incident.
