Principal Mahfuza murder: Submission of probe report deferred

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday deferred the date of submission of the probe report on former Eden Mohila College Principal Mahfuza Chowdhury Parveen murder case.
Judge Saiduzzaman Sharif of the CMM Court fixed June 13 as new date, since Investigation Officer SI Alamgir Hossain Mazumdar could not submit the probe report yesterday.
On February 11, police recovered the dead body of Mahfuza Chowdhury Parveen from her apartment on Elephant Road of the city. Later, Sujat’s husband Ashish Mankhin filed the case with Gulshan Police Station.
Police said, one of the victims was hacked to death while another one was choked.
Sujat’s nephew Sanjib Chiran and his three friends Raju Sangma alias Russel, Prabin Sangma and Shubho Chishim alias Shanto were detained from Nalitabari of Sherpur district in connection with the incident.
