The students should regularly practice sports and exercise to become physically stronger and mentally sound along with studies and extracurricular activities to flourish their latent talents, potentials and abilities.
Nazmul Hoque Prodhan, MP, (Panchagarh-2) said this while addressing fresher’s reception, prize giving ceremony of the annual sports competitions and cultural function at Primary Teachers Training Institute (PTI) in Panchagarh town today as the chief guest.
Prodhan, a valiant freedom fighter and also Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, also asked the young students and youths for glorifying the nation through achieving success in sports.
Superintendent of Panchagarh PTI Mohammad Omar Ali presided over the occasion attended by teachers, students, guardians, public representatives, civil society members, socio-cultural personalities, professionals and local elite.
Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Chairman Anwar Sadat Samrat and District Primary Education Officer Mohammad Yusuf Reza addressed the ceremony as special guests.
Trainer of Panchagarh PTI Abdul Matin, trainee primary school teachers Sadekul Islam and Anisuzzaman also spoke, among others.
Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among winners of different sports events and cultural competitions in the concluding ceremony followed by the colourful cultural function.
