There is no alternative to ensuring quality education at all levels and the students must know and have deep knowledge about the War of Liberation for their proper growth in line with the pro-liberation spirit.Members of the Parliament from reserved constituency Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia said this at a views-sharing meeting with civil society members at Haji Emrat Ali Government Primary School in the city on Thursday as the chief guest.
Chairman of the School Managing Committee (SMC) of Haji Emrat Ali Government Primary School, founding General Secretary of Sarothi Academy and noted dramatist Sirajul Islam Siraj presided over the meeting.
President of Awami League (AL) for Ward No-30 Angur Mian, its General Secretary and SMC member Anwar Hossain Anu, Vice-chairman of the SMC Lutfar Rahman Khokan and Headmaster of the school Mohammad Ali addressed as special guests.
Civil society members, teachers and students of school, guardians, SMC members, socio-cultural and political leaders and activists, representatives of professionals groups and local elite attended the meeting.
In her speech, Advocate Dalia called upon the teachers to teach the young students adopting easier techniques in congenial atmosphere making their studies interesting and easily understandable to give them stronger footage at the primary level.
She asked the teachers for informing the school students about the childhood, growth, education, lifelong struggles, sacrifice and unparallel contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for independence of the country and its people. “Bangabandhu has done epoch-making job to improve primary education and his competent daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina set up unique example through nationalization of primary schools in 2013 in building an educated nation,” she added.
Advocate Dalia called upon the students to devote themselves to studies along with taking part in extracurricular activities regularly to flourish their talents and abilities in turning them into worthy and knowledgeable citizens for leading the nation in future.
