Students asked to concentrate on acquiring knowledge

Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to focus on acquiring knowledge to flourish their creativity to overcome the global challenges.
“The government, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is working relentlessly to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and make the country as a developed one by 2030,” Akhtaruzzaman said.
He made the remarks on Sunday while addressing an international conference titled ‘Management on Innovation and Sustainability: Vision 2041’, marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the university’s Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
In line with government’s effort, the Dhaka University especially the IBA is producing skilled and trained graduate to help the government, he added.
Professor of RMIT University, Australia Dr Shams Rahman gave the keynote speech in the conference while Advocate Nihad Kabir addressed as special guest, with IBA Director Dr Syed Ferhad Anwar in the chair.
Noted researchers, academicians and students from home and abroad took part in the conference.
