A school student died after falling from a moving human hauler in Amirabad Balur Char Leduria Bazar area in Matlab Uttar upazila on Saturday.
Locals said Jahid Hasan, 14, son of Kamal Munshi, a resident of the area, was going to school riding a human hauler around 9am.
However, Jahid, a student of Class Nine of Amirabad Charkalia High School, fell off the vehicle at one stage and received serious injuries.
Later, he was taken to Chandpur Govt General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 5pm.
An unnatural death case was filed with Chandpur Model Police Station, said police.
