Commentary: Stop Netanyahu before he is too much of a threat for peace

The recent visit of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to address the Congress bypassing US President Obama is highly unusual and shows how a little man can be so disgracefully arrogant with American money and weapons to challenge no less a person than the judgement of the President of the USA.
Some in America described Netanyahu as a kitchen Prime Minister with no international acceptance and no experience of international politics. The Congress tried to raise him to the stature of a World leader and in trying to do that the Republican controlled Congress has undermined its own stature in the eye of the world. The world was surprised that in a successful democracy like in the United States the people’s representatives can try to humiliate its President.
Netanyahu manipulated the invitation from the Congress with the audacity to directly campaign against one of the president’s top second-term priorities — a nuclear deal with Iran with the support of a coalition of countries including Saudi Arabia. Netanyahu said it clearly — he knows best what is good for America and world peace although he has no international burden to carry.
According to him the deal which is yet to be reached with Iran is bad for the world and if needed Israel will stand alone to oppose it. Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke in the language of defiance to assert as if America exists only to ensure the security needs of Israel and it does not matter whether what that means in terms of America’s interest or world peace.
He made it adamantly clear that he cannot accept good relationship between the USA and Iran which is essential for avoiding terrorism in the Middle East. He does not want Iran to have any sort of nuclear capability even for peaceful use such as energy generation or medical purposes. The speech, which delighted the Republicans, who are also trying to thwart Obama’s Iran diplomacy, was the starkest illustration yet of the estrangement between Netanyahu and Obama. Netanyahu has threatened the U S President when he said he would act alone to stop tang deal with Iran not acceptable to him.
Israeli Prime Minister’s insistence that President Obama must push for a better deal has been described as hollow. This bully of a leader has no idea what is achievable in international politics. Israel should be disarmed of nuclear weapons to save Israel from having irresponsible leaders like Netanyahu.
There are plenty of Israelis who do not support his hawkish policies. The American rightist parties gush over this man who, with his controversial visit, has justifiably angered many — both in America and in Israel.
We shall hope and expect that the people of America, after the megalomaniac complexities of Netanyahu have been exposed in his speech at the US Congress, should learn to be careful about its blind obligation to defend Israeli leadership. It had been our consistent warning that the people of America must know that Israel’s policy of not allowing America from having friendly relationships with the Muslim countries is mainly responsible for the rise in terrorism among the Muslims against the Western states. The US government must not allow Israel to involve America in a war purely due to the miscalculations of irresponsible and inexperienced rightists like Netanyahu.
We have nothing against the Jewish people and we are in favour of Israel existing side by side with Palestine peacefully. But Israel is not only a terrorist power for the Muslims but more importantly it has exposed itself as a threat for the US capacity to negotiate peace for itself and the world.
