Stocks were slightly up on Wednesday with a trend of recovery as the major indices were found finishing upwards with marginal rise of large-cap securities.
All the major sectors gained on the day, enabling price indices maintain position in green zone at the country’s twin stock exchanges.
The broader DSEX of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) finished the day 5.55 points up at 5,473.89. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES followed it by 0.49 point up at 1,993.64 and 4.49 points up at 1272.77 respectively.
Similarly, the prime CASPI index at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was 7.82 points up at 16,945.
The transaction at DSE was also up when volume of the total shares was 27.25 crore and the total value of the shares was Taka 882.56 crore.
