Stocks indices drop Monday

Key share price indices of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – dropped on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
The DSE key index, DSEX dropped 18.71 points or 0.40 percent to close at 4630.58 on the day. Of the 320 issues traded, 117 gained, 165 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 415.46 crore changed hands at the DSE on Monday as against Tk 325.71 crore on Sunday.
Jute Spinners was the top loser at Dhaka bourse while other companies on the top ten loser list were Padma Islami Life Insurance, Northern Jute Manufacturing, Imam Button, Quasem Drycells, Savar Refractories, Emerald Oil Industries, Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics, KDS Accessories and Aamra Technologies.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were CVO Petrochemical Refinery, Lafarge Surma Cement, Ifad Autos, Shahjibazar Power and KDS Accessories.
Top five gainers at the DSE were Paramount Textile, 3rd ICB Mutual Fund, BD Welding Electrodes, Desh Garments and LR Global Bangladesh Mutual Fund One.
The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI lost 53.04 points to reach 14145.50 at close on Monday. Of the 227 issues traded, 92 advanced, 103 suffered loss and 32 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 28.43 crore on the day.
