Both Dhaka stock exchange and Chittagong stock exchange finished the week with returning the downward trend on Thursday like opening day of the week.
The broader DSEX index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) finished the day 16.72 points down at 4395.28, when the blue-chip DS30 declined by 8.70 points to 1729.29 and the Shariah DSES fell by 5.28 to 1082.82.
The market began the week downward and was falling till Monday. On Tuesday, the market saw upward trend, which continued till the end of Wednesday’s trade.
The cumulative loss to the broader DSEX index during the week was 14.12 points when it was 8.11 points for DS30 and 0.66 points for DSES.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also experienced the similar trend in the market, its major CSCX index closing about 16.071 points down at 8234.61.
