Stock induces drop on Monday

Key share price indices of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – dropped for two consecutive sessions on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
The DSE key index, DSEX lost 10.19 points or 0.13 percent to close at 4592.33 on the day. Of the 321 issues traded, 102 gained, 176 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 413.31 crore changed hands at the DSE on Monday as against Tk 333.31 crore on Sunday.
Sonargaon Textiles topped the loser’s list at Dhaka bourse while other companies were Exim Bank 1st Mutual Fund, Progressive Life Insurance, Bangladesh Industrial Finance Corporation, Industrial Promotion & Development Corporation of Bangladesh, Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills, Aramit Cement, Janata Insurance, Aziz Pipes, and National Housing Finance and Investment.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Beximco Pharma, Quasem Drycells, Beximco, ACI and Ifad Autos.
Top five gainers at the DSE were Apex Spinning & Knitting Mills, Miracle Industries, Quasem Drycells, Hakkani Pulp & Paper and ICB AMCL 2nd NRB Mutual Fund.
The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI also lost 32.87 points to reach 14008.81 at close on Monday. Of the 244 issues traded, 84 advanced, 127 suffered loss and 33 remained unchanged.
