Aviation and Tourism Minister Shahjahan Kamal has said the government has taken various steps for bringing about speedy development of the aviation sector considering its importance for the country’s economic uplift in this era of globalization.
“The government has taken initiatives for bringing about further improvement in the airport administration as well as air traffic management system, air navigation and accident investigation,” he said while speaking at the Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation in the Chinese capital of Beijing on Thursday, according to a message received here.
The minister said Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has achieved 77.47 percent overall rates, the highest in South Asia, as per the audit of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
