Online Desk :
The Inter-Education Coordinating Board (IECB) has postponed the SSC and equivalent examinations form fill-up across the country due to the government’s strict ban to tackle the outbreak of coronavirus. Apart from the delay fee, the time for new forms fill-up will also be extended.

Professor Nehal Ahmed, president of the Inter-Education Coordinating Board and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the information on Monday evening. He told the media that the ongoing SSC exams form fill-up has been postponed due to lockdown. “The pandemic is a national problem right now. So, the time to form fill-up will be extended at the end of lockdown. Candidates can fill-up the form without any delay fee,” he said.

Regarding the time extension, Professor Nehal Ahmed said most of the students have filled their forms. However, for the convenience of those who are left, the time will be extended for “4 to 5 days without any delay fee at the end of the lockdown.”

“As the time of SSC examination has not been fixed yet, this may be extended further if necessary,” he added.

It is to be noted that the SSC examination form fill-up was scheduled from April 1 to April 7. But the government imposed strict restrictions across the country from Monday due to the rise in Covid-19 infections. As a result, the form fill-up for SSC was postponed.
