BSS, Dhaka :The Sri Lanka national cricket team arrived Friday in city for a month-long tour to play two Tests, three ODIs and two Twenty20s against their Bangladesh counterpart.The bilateral series will begin with the first Test on January 27 (Monday) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS). The team will next move to Chittagong for the second Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) to be held on February 4-8.The two Twenty20 games will also be held in ZACS on February 12 and 14. The games will be important to both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as it will be an opportunity for both the sides to assess the conditions ahead of the ICC World Twenty20-2014 that will be held in Bangladesh in March.After the T20 series, the two teams will return to the capital to play three-match ODI series. The first ODI will be held on February 17 at the SBNCS, while the second and third ODIs will be played on February 20 and 22 at the same venue. All the three ODIs will be day-night affairs and the tour will have no warm-up matches.Sri Lanka will stay in Bangladesh to participate in the Asia Cup.The visit will be Sri Lanka’s first full tour of Bangladesh since 2008. The Tigers lost the two matches Test series 2-0, but later they had put on a good show in the Tri, Nation Cup against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. In the tournament, Bangladesh faced Sri Lanka in the final and lost narrowly two wickets. The last time Sri Lanka was in Bangladesh was the Asia Cup 2012 and the islanders lost all three of their games.Sri Lankan Test squad: Angelo Mathews (captain), Dinesh Chandimal, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kaushal Silva, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Kithuruwan Vithanage, Prasanna Jayawardene (wk), Dilruwan Perera, Rangana Herath, Ajantha Mendis, Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Pradeep, Shaminda Eranga and Vishwa Fernando.
