Sri Lanka Cricket proposes split quarantine

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has proposed split quarantine for Bangladesh Cricket team. SLC convinced Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health to allow Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka next month to go ahead.
SLC changed their previous decision. SLC said through an interview to a website Bangladesh Cricket team will have to take in seven-day quarantine in Dhaka before they leave the city for Sri Lanka. After arrival in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Cricket team have to take in seven-day quarantine in the island.
Vice-President of SLC Ravin Wickramaratne said to a website, ” We discussed with the Covid-19 Task Force of Sri Lanka on Wednesday last and everyone showed their interest for Bangladesh Cricket team’s Sri Lanka tour.”
He said, ” We met with the Sri Lankan physicians. Sri Lanka’s coronavirus-situation is better than any country of the sub-continent. Only 13 persons of Sri Lanka died due to coronavirus.”
SLC is considering to move away from their stance of mandatory 14-day quarantine period towards a week-long isolation period for Bangladesh.
