To create human norms and values, employability skill and entrepreneurial behavior among the students of Daffodil International University (DIU), a series of motivational sessions titled ‘Art of living’ ‘Employability Skills’ and ‘Entrepreneurial Behavior’ has been arranged at 71 Milonayoton and Digital Classroom of DIU on Saturday.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU was the facilitator of the classes. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director of Students’ Affairs, Syed Maruf Reza, Head, Department of Entrepreneurship, Mohammad Shibli Shahriar, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, Md. Ejaj-Ur-Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration and many other faculty members were also present at the classes.
Md. Sabur Khan said to the classes that every student should think differently. Those who think out of the box, can achieve success quickly. He advised the students to be a positive thinker and change their thinking process, defining career plan and career mapping or focusing on career. Mr. Khan also said that, students have plenty of opportunities in every step. Every problem is an opportunity. A smart student is to handle the problem and grab opportunity.
About norms and value purpose Md. Khan said that, success means not earning huge money. Of course you should have earned money, but you have to earn it in a loyal and legal way. To respect upon parents, senior citizens and teachers are the basic condition of norms and values, said Mr. Md. Sabur Khan. Therefore, as a human being you have to respect them.
While talking about the ‘Entrepreneurial Behavior’, Khan explained this term as well as guided what kind of behavior or virtues should be upheld by a new entrepreneur. He said to the students that if they want to be entrepreneurs they have to change behavior first. They have to use their 24 hours a day precisely.
Mr. Khan taught students to develop a proper business plan. He also said that, in Bangladesh there are plenty of opportunities which are scattered around, such as: seed business, roof top garden, etc. Innovation, use of technology and blue ocean idea are some crucial factors to get an obvious success. He advised to just pick up one opportunity and to start now to shape career.
