Speeding up rural socioeconomic uplift underscored

Speakers at the inaugural ceremony have stressed for speeding up of the socioeconomic uplift in rural areas through strengthening unity and organisational activities of the local communities. They were addressing the inaugural ceremony organised by SKS Foundation for handing over of land registration documents of newly built Sadulla Community Resource Centre (CRC) under Tabakpur union of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram on Monday afternoon.
Chairman of Tabakpur union Mahmudar Rahman Bakul attended the occasion as the chief guest with President of Sadulla Village Development Committee Rumi Begum in the chair.
Filed Manager of SKS Foundation Rabiul Gani, its Field Facilitator Sabina Yasmin and Shafiq Rezwan were present as the special guests.
The SKS Foundation completed construction of Sadulla CRC at Taka seven lakh under technical assistance of the Strengthening Household Ability to Respond to Development Opportunities (Souhardo)-II Programme of CARE Bangladesh. The United States Agency for International Development and Government of Bangladesh funded in building the CRC to facilitate local people in arranging meetings and social programmes for local socioeconomic uplift, education and entertainment. The speakers said the resource centre would play vital role in strengthening unity among the community people, creating social awareness, flourishing creativity and organising them better in speeding up development activities to improve fortune.
They said the digitised resource centre would play vital role in creating awareness among rural people to develop their skill and flourish creativity through providing information using digitised information and communication technologies.
