Researchers and Academics have recalled the outstanding contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to uphold the image of Bangalees in the global arena amid achieving an Independent Bangladesh.
They were delivering their lecture during a special speech on “Bangabandhu in Our History'” at R C Majumder Arts Auditorium on Dhaka University campus on Sunday.
“If we want to realize the role of Bangabandhu, we will have to know the consecutive flourishing trends of the human history in this territory,” country’s noted intellectual and former Professor of Economics Department of Rajshahi University Sanatkumar Saha said on the occasion.
He added: “The role of Bangabandhu brought dignity for the country and its people as well”.
The Higher Humanism Research Centre of the university organized the programme with Prof Dr Syed Manjurul Islam in the chair.
Among others, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmed was present as the chief guest and Dean of Arts faculty Prof Dr Md Akhtaurzzaman spoke there.
