The WALTON Special Chess Tournament for Visually Impaired persons will be held from October 16-18 at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
Sponsored by WALTON Group and organised by National Fellowship for the Advancement of Visually Handicapped-NFAVH under the guidance of Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) the tournament will be held on the occasion of 49th World Whistle Security Day October 15.
The organisers hoped that near about 60 players from different parts across the country will participate in the meet.
It was disclosed at a press conference held on Thursday at BCF office room.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Dawn), Operative Director and Head of Sports & Welfare of sponsor WALTON Group, Gazi Shayiful Tarique, vice president of Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF), Mehrab Hossain Asif AGM of WALTON Group, International Arbiter Md Haroon Or Rashid, Md Jahangir Alam Executive Director of NFAVH and other officials of WALTON group and NFAVH were present on the occasion.
