Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has urged Bangladeshi expatriates to be united to help the country achieve the status of middle-income nation.
“At present, Bangladesh is a role model of development in the world and we will elevate the status of middle-income country soon…so be united to play an important role for the country’s development,” she said.
The Speaker was addressing a discussion followed by iftar arranged by France Awami League (AL) in Paris on Saturday, said an official release on Sunday.
Bangladesh has already fulfilled all the conditions required to attain middle-income status, she said.
