Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury expressed deep shock at the death of freedom fighter and former Jatiya Party lawmaker of Patuakhali-04 Abdur Razzaq Khan, said a parliament secretariat release here on Thursday.
Besides, Deputy Speaker M Fazley Rabbi Mia and Chief Whip ASM Feroz also expressed deep shock and sympathy to the bereaved family members of the deceased.
Meanwhile, Namaj-e-Janaza of former lawmaker Alhaz Abdur Razzaq Khan was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday morning.
Deputy Speaker M Fazley Rabbi Mia, Chief Whip ASM Feroz, Whip Atiur Rahman Atique, Jatiya Party Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, parliament members, different political party leaders, elite personalities, among others, participated at the Janaza.
After the Janaza, Deputy Speaker M Fazley Rabbi Mia on behalf of the Jatiya Sangsad Speaker, Chief Whip ASM Feroz, Whips and opposition leader of the Jatiya Sangsad and Jatiya Party Secretary General on behalf of the Jatiya Party placed floral wreaths at the coffin of the deceased leader.
