Speaker leaves for Cameroon

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Friday morning left Dhaka for Cameroon to take part in the 60th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.
The Speaker, leading a parliamentary delegation, left for Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon, to attend the conference, said a handout.
Arranged by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association-CPA, the conference is being held from October 2 to 16.
Later, the parliamentary delegation, led by Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will go to Switzerland to join the 131st assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union-IPU, scheduled to be held on October 12-16 in Geneva.
Other members of the delegation are Whip Shahiduzzaman Sarkar MP, IPU member Imran Ahmed MP, member of Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Steering Committee Sagufta Yasmin MP and Waresat Hossain Belal MP.
