Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has invited Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury for joining an international symposium on women empowerment to be held in Japan in September next.
Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima handed over a letter of the invitation to Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the latter’s Jatiya Sangsad office here.
The symposium titled “International Symposium toward a Society in which All Women Shine” would be held between September 12-14 in Japan.
During the meeting, the Japanese Ambassador and the Speaker discussed matters relating to bilateral and multilateral issues attaching especial importance to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, an official handout said.
