Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Monday expressed profound shock at the death of Jagmohan Dalmiya, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In a condolence message, she prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
The speaker said, “Jagmohan Dalmiya was a genuine friend of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Cricket. He played an important role to elevate Bangladesh as a test playing country.”
She also said, the people of Bangladesh would remember the valuable contribution of Dalmiya for developing Bangladesh Cricket.
