South Asian Handball: Bangladesh off to flying start

Touring Bangladesh got off to a flying start in the five-nation 5th South Asian Women’s Handball Championship outplaying Bhutan by 44-3 goals in their first appearance in the Indian city of Lucknow on Sunday.
Bangladesh comfortably led the first half by 25-1 goals.
Sumi, Rubina and Shirin scored six goals each while Rupa and Khadija netted four each for the winners and Joyce scored two goals for the losers.
Among the South Asian countries, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and hosts India are taking part in the regional handball meet while Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives are not playing in the meet.
