South Africa team left the city for home on Monday night. South Africa team arrived in the city to play three One Day International (ODI) matches, two Twenty20 Cricket matches and a two-Test series against their counterpart Bangladesh team.
The Proteas lost to the Tigers 2-1 in the ODI series. South Africa made a draw in the two-Test series.
Though the Chittagong Test ended in a draw due to rain but Bangladesh took the upper hand as they had a 78-run lead in the first innings.
Bangladesh dismissed South Africa for 248 in the first innings.
The hosts piled up a healthy 326 in the first innings. The Proteas had a consolation that they earned a 2-0 victory in the two-match Twenty20 Cricket series.
