Inform hard hitting National opener Soumya Sarker signed for Prime Bank Cricket Club as one of the national pool players on Monday.
The dashing left hander played for Legends of Rupganj last year but in this edition, switched to Prime Bank taking a lot of responsibilities.
Prime Bank finished third last season as they faltered in the crucial stage of the league but this time Soumya thinks it would be a different story.
”Overall I am happy with the management of the team, the team has some exciting players as well as some good foreign stars, with the mixture of youth and experience, I think Prime Bank will be a title contender from the very beginning, we are focused on winning the title” said Soumya.
‘Cricket is game of commitment and fighting spirit, overall the team has the strength to uphold all the challenges, I am confident to continue my form in the domestic league as it will be a platform for the selection of the Champions Trophy squad, added Soumya.
Soumya will be the leading man in the Prime Bank team and will be looking forward to get the assistance from national pacer Rubel Hossain who will be another important asset in the Prime Bank tent.
National pacer Al Amin Hossain is also in the Prime Bank team and talented youngsters Zakir Hasan and Mehedi Maruf are also ready to take the challenge.
Last season Sri Lankan allrounder Dilshan Munarweera played for the team and is expected to return to start where he finished.
Team manager Hemayet Hossain said they are in contact with another hard hitting Sri Lankan Asela Gunartane and hope to rope him in accordingly.
