National cricketer Soumya Sarkar’s 24th birthday was observed in a befitting manner at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur on Saturday.
A BCB source said this Reporter on Saturday, ” Members of Bangladesh National Cricket team take part at the practice session at the SBNCS today. After lunch they observed the birthday of Soumya Sarkar by cutting cake.”
Soumya Sarkar was born in Satkhira on 25th February in 1993.
His Test debut was against Pakistan at Khulna on 28th April in 2015. His ODI debut was against Zimbabwe at Dhaka on 1st December in 2014. His T20 I debut was against Pakistan at Dhaka on 24th April in 2015.
Soumya Sarkar, who is a right-arm batsman scored 286 runs playing five Test matches. His highest score in Test cricket is 86 with an average of 31.77. He hit only one half century in Test cricket.
Soumya scored 724 runs playing 20 ODI matches. His highest score in ODI cricket is 127 with an average of 40.22. He hit one century and four half centuries in ODI cricket.
He scored 380 runs playing 22 T20 I matches. His highest score in T20 I cricket is 48 with an average of 17.27.
