Son convicted by mobile court for torturing parents in Harinakundu

The mobile court in Harinakundu has awarded four months imprisonment to an addict youth for four months, while another court in Sailkupa fined three business establishments for using plastic sacks as against the government order for using gunny bags.
Upazila nirbahi officer of Harinakundu, also the executive magistrate Manira Parvin conducting a mobile court on Wednesday noon had sentenced four months imprisonment to Bellal Hossain , 21, of Chatkabaria village in the upazila.
Bellal Hossain had been torturing his parents Abdus Satter and Sabura Khatun for past couple of years demanding money for drug. Upazila nirbahi officer of Harinakundu Manira Parvin admitted the action of the mobile court.
An another drive a mobile court led by an assistant commissioner of the office of the deputy commissioner of Jhenaidah Mesbaul Karim on Wednesday noon had fined three business establishments in Sailkupa upazila head quarters for using plastic sacks as against the gunny bags for storing rice and some other food products.
The court fined Taka five thousand each and warned not to use the same in near future which violates the government directives.
The magistrate said the business men have violated the government directives as the government noticed to use the jute and jute related gunny bags for storage of food items like rice, wheat etc.
