Police have seized passports of some Bangladesh Bank (BB) officials following the hacking of around $100 million from its foreign currency account held with the US Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The officials are working with the BB’s Accounts and Budgeting Department.
Their passports were seized on Tuesday so that they cannot leave the country, sources said on Wednesday.
